New Research Publication: Study of Nanoparticle-Encapsulated BioBran and Cancer-Induced Organ Toxicity in Mice

A newly published paper on BioBran, titled “Nanoparticle-Enhanced The Protective Effects of MGN-3/Biobran Against Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma-Induced Toxicity in the Liver, Kidneys, and Spleen of Mice,” by a research team led by Zeinab A. Mostafa and collaborators, reports a study of MGN-3/BioBran and its lipid nanoparticle formulation in a mouse model of solid Ehrlich carcinoma.

This study investigated MGN-3/BioBran, a rice bran arabinoxylan compound, and its lipid nanoparticle (lipid nanocapsule) formulation in mice bearing solid Ehrlich carcinoma tumors, with a focus on cancer-induced toxicity in the liver, kidneys, and spleen. The study examined tumor growth, body and organ weights, and serum markers of liver and kidney function and the lipid profile.
