A newly published paper on BioBran, titled “Rice Bran Arabinoxylan Compound and Tryptophan Metabolism on Quality of Life of Cancer Patients: A Secondary Analysis of the RBAC-QoL Study,” by a research team led by Soo Liang Ooi and collaborators, reports a secondary analysis of the previously published RBAC-QoL randomized, placebo-controlled trial.

This secondary analysis investigated rice bran arabinoxylan compound (RBAC, BioBran), tryptophan metabolism, and quality of life in cancer patients undergoing active treatment. The study examined serum tryptophan and its metabolites and assessed their relationships with quality-of-life measures, including global quality of life, physical and social functioning, and cancer- and treatment-related symptoms.
