New Research Publication: BioBran Improves Quality of Life in Cancer Patients During Active Treatment

A new scientific paper on BioBran, titled “Effects of rice bran arabinoxylan compound on quality of life of cancer patients during active treatment: a randomised placebo-controlled pilot trial,” has been published by a research team led by Soo Liang Ooi and collaborators. The study evaluated the effects of rice bran arabinoxylan compound (RBAC, BioBran) in adults with solid organ cancers receiving chemotherapy or immunotherapy.

In this pilot clinical study, BioBran was associated with significantly improved global quality of life compared with placebo in cancer patients undergoing active treatment. Participants receiving BioBran also showed significantly better role and social functioning, as well as reduced symptom burden, including fatigue, pain, dyspnoea, and appetite loss. No intervention-related adverse events were reported. These findings suggest that BioBran may help support quality of life during active cancer treatment.
