A new scientific paper on BioBran, titled “Effects of rice bran arabinoxylan compound on quality of life of cancer patients during active treatment: a randomised placebo-controlled pilot trial,” has been published by a research team led by Soo Liang Ooi and collaborators.

This randomised placebo-controlled pilot study investigated rice bran arabinoxylan compound (RBAC, BioBran) in adults with solid organ cancers receiving chemotherapy or immunotherapy. The study compared participants receiving BioBran with those receiving placebo and assessed quality of life during active cancer treatment. The assessments included global quality of life, physical, role, emotional, cognitive, and social functioning, as well as cancer- and treatment-related symptoms such as fatigue, pain, nausea and vomiting, dyspnoea, appetite loss, constipation, diarrhoea, and sleep disturbance.
