A new scientific paper entitled “Protective Effects of Biobran/MGN-3 Against Etoposide-Induced Immune Modulation and Hepatotoxicity in Male Rats” has been published by a research group led by Ali M. Eldib of Damanhur University, Egypt.
Etoposide is a widely used chemotherapeutic drug, but may cause adverse effects such as liver toxicity, oxidative stress, and immune dysfunction. In this study, researchers investigated the potential protective effects of BioBran. In a rat model, co-administration of BioBran improved antioxidant enzyme activity, reduced inflammatory cytokine responses, and mitigated liver injury associated with etoposide treatment. The findings suggest that BioBran may help reduce certain toxic effects associated with chemotherapy.
