A collaborative research team from Mansoura University and Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science has published a study on BioBran, titled “Nanoparticle-Enhanced The Protective Effects of MGN-3/BioBran Against Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma-Induced Toxicity in the Liver, Kidneys, and Spleen of Mice.”
In this preclinical study, researchers investigated BioBran/MGN-3 and BioBran/MGN-3 formulated in lipid-based nanoparticles in an Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) mouse model. The study compared the different formulations and evaluated tumor weight, as well as biochemical and histological parameters in the liver, kidneys, and spleen.
