A collaborative research team from Damanhur University, Al Rayan National College of Medicine, Sohag University, Mansoura University, King Khalid University, and Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science has published a new study on BioBran, titled
“Biobran/MGN-3: A Promising Natural Strategy for Mitigating Kidney Damage and Immune Modulation During Etoposide Therapy.”
The study investigated the potential of BioBran/MGN-3, a rice bran-derived arabinoxylan compound, as a natural adjunct to chemotherapy. Using an animal model, researchers found that it helped alleviate etoposide-induced kidney toxicity, reduce oxidative stress and inflammation, and regulate immune cell activity.
