A collaborative research team from Mansoura University, the National Research Centre, and Pharos University in Egypt, as well as Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in the United States has published a comprehensive study on BioBran, titled “Protective Effect of Biobran/MGN-3, an Arabinoxylan from Rice Bran, Against the Cytotoxic Effects of Polyethylene Nanoplastics in Normal Mouse Hepatocytes: An In Vitro and In Silico Study.”
The study explores the potential of BioBran/MGN-3, a rice bran-derived arabinoxylan, in protecting mouse liver cells from cytotoxicity induced by polyethylene nanoplastics, using both in vitro and computational (in silico) approaches.
