A research team at Toyama Prefectural University (Japan) has published groundbreaking research on Rice Kefiran, titled “Rice Kefiran Ameliorates Obesity and Hepatic Steatosis Through the Change in Gut Microbiota.”
The study explored the beneficial effects of Rice Kefiran, a polysaccharide derived from kefir grains, demonstrating that it effectively reduces obesity and hepatic steatosis (fatty liver disease) by modulating gut microbiota composition.
This research contributes valuable insights into the potential application of Rice Kefiran as a functional food ingredient for the prevention and management of obesity and fatty liver disease.
