Daiwa held the “Daiwa International Workshop 2024” at Kyoto Tokyu Hotel (Kyoto, Japan) on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
Nearly 300 participants, including medical professionals such as doctors and pharmacists, as well as researchers, attended the workshop, and the latest research findings on Daiwa’s functional ingredients were presented . Notably, around 160 participants joined from overseas regions such as the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
Previously the meeting was held as the “BioBran International Workshop” until 2018 and served as an international forum to share knowledge about our proprietary food ingredient BioBran. This year, however, the scope of discussions was expanded to encompass the other Daiwa’s ingredients, such as NKCP and Rice Kefiran. This expansion drew even greater attention to the event.
This year’s workshop, returning to Kyoto after six years, featured 11 guest speakers, including physicians and researchers from Japan, the United States, Asia, and Oceania. The presentations were highly comprehensive, covering a range of studies including a double-blind randomized controlled trial, pilot studies, case reports, and cutting-edge findings from in vivo and in vitro studies. The workshop proved to be highly fruitful, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees, such as, “It was an exceptionally meaningful workshop,” and “It reaffirmed the global significance of Daiwa’s ingredients.”
