New Published Research Paper: Arabinoxylan rice bran (MGN-3/Biobran) provides protection against whole-body γ-irradiation in mice via restoration of hematopoietic tissues

A study group from Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science (USA) released a study on the protective effects of BioBran/MGN-3 against whole-body γ-irradiation in mice.

This study was published in the Journal of Radiation Research, and reported that treatment with BioBran/MGN-3 alleviated loss of body and organ weight, and reduced the number of immunocompetent cells, which were the result of irradiation.

BioBran/MGN-3 has already been shown to have an antioxidant effect, as demonstrated in studies to determine its ability to reduce lipid peroxidation. The above-referenced study group hypothesizes that their study results were due to various BioBran properties, including antioxidation, immunomodulation, and others.
