New Published Research Paper: Case Reports of Cancer Patients with Hepatic Metastases Treated by Standardized Plant Immunomodulatory Preparations

The research group at University Pécs (Hungary) and others released case reports about the effectiveness of BioBran on metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma. They were published in the “Journal of Cancer Research Updates, 2013, 2:1-9”.

This study examined clinical responses of cancer patients with hepatic metastases who were treated with several standardized plant extracts known to be immunologically effective.

In this study, seven cancer patients with hepatic metastases were administered BioBran and several other standardized plant preparations. All of them showed a complete or nearly complete remission of hepatic metastases.

BioBran has already been shown to activate NK cells and promote phagocytic activity of macrophages. The research group suggested that there was an additive effect when BioBran was combined with other immunologically effective materials. The research group also indicated that those materials are strong candidates for supportive therapy to conventional treatments such as surgery, hormone treatment or chemotherapy for cancer patients with hepatic metastases, and that further clinical studies are required.

Continued research is expected to reveal a wide range of BioBran’s functions.
