New Published Research Paper: Protective effect of low molecular fraction of MGN-3, a modified arabinoxylan from rice bran, on acute liver injury by inhibition of NF-κB and JNK/MAPK expression

A study group from the Graduate School of Horticulture, Chiba University released a study on the protective effect of BioBran on liver injury in rats.

This study was published in International Immunopharmacology, showing that serum AST and ALT activities in rats of D-GaIN-induced hepatitis were suppressed by BioBran and its low molecular fraction (LMW). LMW was also shown to inhibit not only activation of NF-κB, but also activation of liver protein kinase and c-JUN expression. These results indicate that LMW suppresses liver injury by inhibiting activation of adaptor proteins, including NF-κB.
