New Published Research Paper: Suppressive Effect of Modified Arabinoxylan from Rice Bran (MGN-3) on D-Galactosamine- Induced IL-18 Expression and Hepatitis in Rats

The Laboratory of Food and Nutrition, Graduate School of Horticulture at Chiba University reported that the oral intake of BioBran is effective in reversing liver injury in rats.

This study was published in Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry. It shows that the AST and ALT levels of D-Galactosamine-induced hepatitis in rats significantly decreased in the BioBran-treated group, and the symptoms were alleviated. Additionally, the plasma IL-18 concentration and IL-18 expression levels were significantly reduced in the BioBran group, demonstrating the effect of BioBran to alleviate hepatitis by suppressing IL-18 expression.
