The nematode C. elegans, a widely used model organism, was cultured in a medium containing scallop-derived plasmalogen (5 mg/mL) or a control medium, and survival rates were measured every two days. The results demonstrated that the plasmalogen-treated group showed a statistically significant extension of mean lifespan compared with the control group (***p < 0.001), with a rightward shift in the survival curve observed. These findings confirm the life-extending effects of scallop-derived plasmalogen.
