Daiwa Pharmaceutical Participates in g5th Food Communications Conventionh

Daiwa Pharmaceutical (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President: Yasuo Ninomiya) participated in gthe 5th Food Communications Convention (Shoku-komi) held at Setagaya Civic Hall on Sunday, January 30, 2005, following on from the company's participation last time.

This event, affectionately called gShoku-komi,h (short for gfood communicationsh) is organized in Setagaya Public Health Center, and is part of the activities of a network where Setagaya city residents, universities, companies, NPOs, and Setagaya City cooperate to promote health through food and a rich life for residents. The 5th convention had the theme gMore Communication between Producers and Consumers - You Can Make Life Taste Good in Setagayah and visitors were from not only Setagaya but around the country.

They actively exchanged opinions on food and agriculture including meals with seasonal foods and foodstuffs produced in Setagaya, and the future of health promotion. Daiwa Pharmaceutical exhibited its leading products, gBioBranh and gNKCP.h Besides Daiwa, Yakult and Calpis were also exhibiting their products, but many attendees packed into the space before our booth, with an eagerness that surpassed our expectations.

Daiwa Pharmaceutical will continue to work actively together with this event, held in its local area (says Ninomiya).
