Dr. M.Ghoneum is awarded by the Egyptian Embassy in Washington D.C.

Dr. Mamdooh Ghoneum is awarded by the Egyptian Embassy in Washington D.C. for his innovative research on Baker's yeast for the treatment of cancer. The study discovered that yeast can kill cancer cells and Biobran may enhance this effect.

These results may represent the foundation of a new era for treatments against cancer. On March 27th 2010, he made a presentation of his study at the embassy and got a plaque and gold medal in his honor. The award ceremony was attended by many Egyptian diplomats, and diplomats and advisors from the U.S. Department of State.
