Daiwa Pharmaceutical held BioBran seminars in Taiwan and Viet Nam


Daiwa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, President: Yasuo Ninomiya) held BioBran seminars in Taipei, Taiwan on August 9, 2008, in Taichung on August 10, and in Hanoi, Viet Nam on August 12.

The seminar in Taiwan (entitled gThe 5th Arabinoxylan International Workshop 2008h) was jointly hosted by Daiwa and the local distributor. The venues were Taipei Medical University in Taipei and China Medical University in Taichung, where an audience of about 200 pharmacists and nutritionists attended each seminar. Dr. M. Ghoneum (professor at UCLA/Drew Medical College), one of the developers of BioBran, announced the latest research results and case studies, which attracted the keen attention of those in attendance.

The seminar in Viet Nam (entitled gLentin Plus 1000: An effective BRM in anticancer and in infectionh) was held at Nikko Hotel Hanoi, and jointly hosted by Daiwa and the local distributor. More than 100 people, including doctors and other interested parties attended the seminar. Dr. M. Ghoneum again presented the latest research results and case studies. In addition, a doctor from the local Bach Mai hospital, renowned for its liver study, gave a presentation on liver cancer and hepatitis B with the actual data of BioBran application. The presentation was well received, particularly by the doctor's own patients and others in the audience.

These high level seminars for pharmacists and nutritionists proved successful at both venues. After each seminar, people engaged in an enthusiastic and ongoing exchange of professional questions and answers.

Daiwa's oversea market expansion has exceeded expectations, with a dramatic increase in sales performance. We will continue making efforts toward further expanding markets in strategic regions, particularly throughout Southeast Asia.
