Daiwa Pharmaceutical holds a BioBran seminar in Sapporo, Osaka and Tokyo

Daiwa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President, Yasuo Ninomiya) held a BioBran Seminar in Sapporo on January 27, in Osaka on February 3, and in Tokyo on February 17. These seminars targeted specialists such as drugstore owners and pharmacists. Many questions were asked in the seminars and all of them ended successfully.

Dr. Yuzo Endo (instructor at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, M.D.) gave a lecture called “Immunopotentiating, immunomodulating and anti-inflammatory effects of BioBran” in the above three seminars. Inflammatory reactions and the resultant active oxygen production may be an important factor in carcinogenesis. Studies conducted until now have showed that BioBran had anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects and immunopotentiation of cells including NK cells, suggesting the potential for its use in cancer immunotherapy. Further, it is considered that intimal chronic inflammation underlies ischemic heart and brain diseases and deep vain thrombosis. Based on the above, he concluded that BioBran could be applied to lifestyle-related diseases in addition to cancer.

Dr. Kazuo Yoshimoto (former director of Japan Self-Defense Force Central Hospital, M.D.) also gave a lecture called “Clinical cases of the use of BioBran (rice bran arabinoxylan compound)” in the Tokyo seminar. Dr. Yoshimoto, who has practiced medicine incorporating integrative medicine from an early age, presented medically interesting cases of BioBran used in combination with Epoglan containing evening primrose seed oil. The participants were interested in the presented cases of a 10-year follow-up on BioBran and cases of a follow-up of over 20 years on Epoglan, and they asked many questions. His speech ranged widely from his field of pediatrics and allergies to lifestyle-related diseases and anti-aging, and further to relieving the adverse effects of cancer therapy.
