The Natural Products Expo Asia 2007 (organized by New Hope Natural Media) was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 27 to 29, and at the Expo, Daiwa Pharmaceutical presented BioBran, NKCP, and Rice Kefiran.

The tradeshow is one of the largest shows on health food products throughout the Asian region, featuring the participation of about 350 exhibitors from all over the world. About 10,000 visitors from the world such as Oceania, Europe, and North America as well as Mainland China and various Asian countries attended the event.

This time, Daiwa Pharmaceutical exhibited BioBran, a plant-derived polysaccharide processed food, marketed in 40 countries worldwide, NKCP, a purified filtrate of Bacillus subtilis natto culture, which attracted attention for its new features, different from those of the conventional nattokinase, and Rice Kefiran, a fermentation product of lactobacillus derived from kefir, with rice used as the medium. Daiwa Pharmaceutical proposed various ideas for prescribing these materials and attracted the interest of visitors.

Participants asked many questions, especially about Rice Kefiran, and showed their keen interest in the new material with various functions, including its potential to be effective in preventing metabolic syndrome.

The supplement market in the ASEAN region is growing rapidly, and the products of Daiwa Pharmaceutical, which prioritize high quality and safety, are expected to attract a growing number of inquiries also in future.
