Daiwa's new product, "Rice Kefiran," attracts attention at Health Ingredients Japan 2006

Health Ingredients Japan 2006, hosted by CMP Japan and backed by the MHLW (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), the MAFF (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan) and other organizations, was held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 4-6, 2006.

Daiwa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President: Yasuo Ninomiya) exhibited gRice Kefiran,h successfully developed just recently and now drawing attention, along with its flagship products, gBioBranh and gNKCP.h A presentation entitled gRice Kefiran-Legendary nutrient produced from LK-Lactobacillus culture with rice mediumh was given on the opening day.

This exhibition, targeted at specialists and related companies, aims to research quality improvements and the safety and functionality of food and is known as one of the largest events of its kind in the world. There were numerous participants from around Japan and other Asian countries, and more than 500 companies exhibited products. Despite the bad weather, approximately 15,000 people visited the show daily.

Daiwa's booth was again refurbished and as in the past, the popular and well-evidenced gBioBranh and gNKCPh stopped visitors. On this occasion, however, the new food ingredient, gRice Kefiran,h successfully developed through joint research with the MAFF, combined with its groundbreaking feature of being a lactobacillus product made from rice, attracted even more attention than we had anticipated.

Questions were relentless and we ran out of brochures on the first day. While inquiries are being received about gRice Kefiranh from food manufactures both at home and abroad, we are proceeding with the development of original products, says President Ninomiya.
