Daiwa held a BioBran book publication seminar

Daiwa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Japan - President: Yasuo Ninomiya) held a seminar introducing the publication of a BioBran book, gBioBran/MGN-3: Basis and clinical application to integrative medicineh (Iyaku Shuppan) at Tokyo International Forum on May 20.

The book, published under the editorship of Professor Kenji Tazawa (Professor emeritus at Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University), covers papers and academic presentations on Daiwa's BioBran (rice bran Arabinoxylan derivative, marketed as gLentin Plush) at home and abroad for the last 10 years. The book publishing was eagerly awaited from various quarters (\5,250, tax included).

As many as 150 people including doctors and researchers gathered at the seminar from all over the country. At the opening, president Ninomiya said that the company gives first priority to safety and evidence and that Daiwa's growing sales in 38 countries prove BioBran to be an international product. Subsequently, three doctors gave a presentation on BioBran from their respective views.

Professor Tazawa, also our editorial supervisor, explained in detail recent research results on the gActive oxygen radical scavenging activity of BioBran.h Honorary director Ryouichi Obitsu (Obitsu Sankei Clinic) talked about the holistic medicine directed towards cancer patients at his own clinic and about BioBran used in the process.

Obitsu pointed out the importance of gintegrationhof doctor and patient, medication and cure, life and death, etc. and gpatients' excitement,h which touched the audiences' heart. Mr. Yuzo Endo (Hamamatsu University School of Medicine) gave a presentation on the gBiological defense control action of BioBran.h

BioBran's immunoregulatory function with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects could be applicable to not only cancer therapy, but also the prevention of life-style diseases and anti-aging.

There were many questions for the presenters afterwards, indicating that the seminar had a greater effect on the audience than anticipated.
